Deze week geen resem concerten noch festivals aan te kondigen, maar Radio Mukambo heeft toch een uurtje global grooves bijeengesprokkeld met heel wat afrobeat, Latin, reggae en voor het eerst ook exotica. Veelal gebracht door bands die de continentale drift ongedaan maken door inspiratie op te doen aan de andere kant van de oceaan. Vrijdag zal Espace Senghor zich omvormen tot een tikibar voor de coming-out party van The Left Arm of Buddha, Luikse exotica.
Family Atlantica overdondert ons met een heerlijke fusie van Venezolaanse percussie, highlife, calypso en ethiojazz, terwijl de soulvolle reggae van The Lions uit Los Angeles goed is voor onze cd van de week. Voorts kijken we uit naar de komst van de rootsreggae maestro's The Abyssinians naar 4AD.
