As part of the Research among People of African Origin in Belgium (ROAM-BE) project, the Centre for Demographic Research of the Université catholique de Louvain (UCLouvain) is recruiting interviewers.
The survey will be carried out face-to-face in English or Dutch with people from sub-Saharan Africa between August and October 2024.
Qualifications and conditions:
- To be autonomous and rigorous;
- To have an experience in conducting surveys or to have attended a training in demographic and social data collection is an asset;
- To have an experience of working with people from sub-Saharan Africa is an asset;
- To be fluent in English;
- To speak Dutch and/or French is an asset;
- The job is open to students, but can also be an occasional activity for people with another status;
- If applicable, a work permit and a Student@work certificate (with at least 100 hours available) are required;
- To be available to carry out around 20 surveys between August and October 2024;
- To be prepared to travel to different locations in Belgium for the survey and to find respondents corresponding to certain characteristics that will be given (e.g. country of origin, age group, etc.);
- To be available to attend a 2-day (paid) training course on the 5th and 6th of August 2024 from 9am to 5pm in Brussels;
- A fixed salary of 55 euros gross per survey (approximately 52 euros net for students who have worked less than 600 hours over the calendar year), including contact time and travel time.
