The degree programme International Business Management is an English taught bachelor degree programme. The programme has 3 specialisations: Global Business, International Entrepreneurship and Global Supply Chain Management. We are looking for a lecturer in Business Economics and a coach for the Business Case, Thesis, Internships and Graduation Project.
The degree programme Supply Chain Management is a Dutch-taught professional bachelor programme where we prepare our students for an exciting and challenging career in trade, transport, logistics and supply chain. In addition to a thorough knowledge of customs, transport and supply chain management, internationalization, sustainability and digital skills are central to our training.

Your role
As a lecturer, you will contribute to the growth process of our students as driven professionals. You reflect on new learning content and teaching methods, coach students as part of their learning process, give feedback so they can learn, and evaluate their growth.
Your duties
- You teach Business Economics (Micro) to 1st year students International Business Management.
- You coach 2nd year students International Entrepreneurship during their Internship.
- You coach 3rd year students Global Business during their Bachelor Thesis.
- You coach 3rd year students International Entrepreneurship during their Graduation Project.
- You coach students from the Dutch programme Supply Chain Management during a business game about sustainability (also in English).
- You encourage and support students to develop themselves and to achieve the desired competencies. You seek solutions to deal with diversity within student groups in a
result-oriented manner.
- You provide students with feedback to help them achieve their academic goals.
- You perform tasks that support the day to day operation of International Business
Management.
- You teach on one of our campuses Groenplaats, Stadswaag and Pothoek.
The programme manager of International Business Management, Inge Heirbaut is your
manager.
Your profile
- You have a strong understanding of the business world with affinity for Sustainability and Entrepreneurship. Ideally you have international experience.
- You have the ability to guide students in their learning process by using hands-on methods and a coaching style.
- You can translate your acquired expertise tailored to the students. You know how to kindle enthusiasm among students and motivate them.
- You are a team player. You have strong communication and collaboration skills.
- You are convinced of the importance of lifelong learning, you stay up-to-date with new developments, incorporating them into your teaching methods. Educational innovation and innovative teaching methods are also topics that you will be happy to delve into.
- You are able to use ICT applications in the execution of your work. At KdG, we work with the current Office365 programs, the Canvas digital learning environment and the e-studentservice digital platform.
- Prior teaching (min 2 year) experience is a plus.
In addition, you hold a Master’s degree in Economics, Business Administration or
Entrepreneurship.
The English-language degree programme requires a C1 diploma.

- A part-time assignment (60%) as a contractual employee. You start on august 16 2023 with a contract for one year, with the intention of extending (after positive evaluation).

- We reimburse 100% of your travel expenses if you use public transport for your commute. You will be paid a €0.21/ km bicycle allowance if you commute by bike.
