The degree programme International Business Management is an English taught bachelor degree programme. The programme has 3 specialisations: Global Business, International Entrepreneurship and Global Supply Chain Management. We are looking for a colleague to teach supply chain topics, to organise internships and coach students in the 3 specialisations with a focus on supply chain.

Your role
As a lecturer, you will contribute to the growth process of our students as driven professionals. You reflect on new learning content and teaching methods, coach students as part of their learning process, give feedback so they can learn, and evaluate their growth.
Your duties
- You teach fundamentals of supply chain to 2nd year students International Entrepreneurship.
- You coach 2nd year students Global Supply Chain Management during a supply chain management game.
- You coach 3rd year bachelor students Global Supply Chain Management during their Internship and Company Project.
- You coach 3rd year bachelor students Global Business during their Bachelor Thesis.
- You develop a workshop about supply chain topics for 3rd year bachelor students of International Entrepreneurship.
- You are the internship coordinator of the specialisation Global Supply Chain Management. You develop and revise internship policies and procedures.
- You encourage and support students to develop themselves and to achieve the desired competencies. You seek solutions to deal with diversity within student groups in a result-oriented manner.
- You provide students with feedback to help them achieve their academic goals.
- You perform tasks that support the day to day operation of the degree programme.
- You teach on one of our campuses Groenplaats, Stadswaag and Pothoek.

Your profile
- You have experience in the field of supply chain. You have a strong understanding of the business world and can use your knowledge and experience to provide customised guidance to students.
- You have the ability to guide students in their learning process by using hands-on methods and a coaching style.
- You have a strong ability for networking. You can liaise with a variety of people.
- You are a team player. You have strong communication and collaboration skills.
- You are convinced of the importance of lifelong learning, you stay up-to-date with new developments, incorporating them into your teaching methods. Educational innovation and innovative teaching methods are also topics that you will be happy to delve into.
- You are able to use ICT applications in the execution of your work. At KdG, we work with the current Office365 programs, the Canvas digital learning environment and the e-studentservice digital platform.
- Prior teaching (min 2 year) experience is a plus. Ideally you are knowledgeable in course development, learning outcomes and assessment.
In addition, you hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in supply chain.
The English-language degree programme requires a C1 diploma.

- A part-time assignment (45%) as a contractual employee. You start on august 16 2023 with a contract for one year, with the intention of extending (after positive evaluation).

- As a Bachelor’s degree holder, you are paid a salary according to the pay scale for a practical lecturer (316) and as a Master’s degree holder, according to the pay scale for a lecturer (502). - We reimburse 100% of your travel expenses if you use public transport for your commute. You will be paid a €0.21/ km bicycle allowance if you commute by bike.
